Further Changes to the Taxation of Trusts

The Assistant Treasurer announced on 4 March 2011 that legislative amendments would be introduced into Parliament this year in an attempt to clarify some of the uncertainties of trust taxation said to arise from the High Court decision in the Bamford case.
