Greenwoods & Freehills tops in tax

Greenwoods & Freehills (G&F), has been recognised as one of Australia’s top firms, based on the recently released ‘World Tax 2006’ rankings published by International Tax Review.

The ‘World Tax 2006’ rankings, a guide to the world’s leading tax firms and tax advisers, was compiled based on 3000 interviews conducted with corporate tax directors and tax advisers around the world. According to International Tax Review methodology, ‘the objective of interviewing both advisers and tax executives was to get an opinion of tax advisers from their peers and their clients’.

G&F has positioned itself in the leading group of top five tax firms, joining Allens Arthur Robinson, Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Mallesons Stephen Jaques. G&F's Mark Ferrier, Paul King, Ernie Chang and Tony Frost have also been acknowledged as 'leading individuals' in tax.

This latest achievement by G&F closely follows the firm’s win as Taxation Firm of the Year 2005 in the Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards.
