Andrew Mills is a Director in the Sydney office of Greenwoods & Freehills.

Industry Experience

Andrew advises clients on a range of domestic and international tax matters including:

• mergers and acquisitions (including Life Insurance Act Part 9 transfers)
• tax audits, risk reviews
• tax litigation and dispute resolution
• capital raisings
• specialised investments and structures
• corporate and fund restructuring

 

Professional Background

Andrew was the 2006-07 President of the Tax Institute of Australia (TIA) and is a member of the Board of Tax Advisory Group and of certain ATO and Treasury liaison groups. 

Andrew lectures in taxation in the Masters of Law course at the University of Sydney and is a regular speaker at seminars on domestic and international tax issues. He has published papers and articles in various national and international tax journals.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business degree, a Master of Laws and a Graduate Diploma in Tax Law.
