Current Practice

Angie Ananda is a Senior Associate of Greenwoods & Freehills.  Angie advises on a wide range of corporate tax matters and specialises in corporate acquisitions and disposals.

Industry Experience

Angie has extensive experience advising private equity funds in relation to acquisitions and disposals and fund structuring. Angie also has experience advising on financial products and financial transactions. She has advised clients on a wide range of tax matters, including the issue of innovative and non-innovative financial products. Recently, Angie has been involved in a number of significant transactions, including:

• the proposed acquisition of the Symbion Pharmacy business by one of our major clients;
• a proposed Tier 1 capital raising for a major banking client; 
• the acquisition of the 3M Pharmaceuticals by Ironbridge Capital; and 
• the acquisition of BBQs Galore by Ironbridge Capital.

Professional Background

Before joining G&F, Angie spent 7 years with two top tier legal firms, where she was a Senior Associate in the Taxation practice group with a range of corporate clients but particularly private equity clients.
Angie holds a Masters of Laws degree from Sydney University and a Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Accounting) degree from Macquarie University.  Angie is also a member of the Law Society of NSW and the Tax Institute of Australia.
