Andrew is a senior associate with Greenwoods & Freehills Pty Ltd. He specialises in:
• listed property trusts and managed funds
• internal restructures
• mergers and acquisitions; and
• offshore investment, including the controlled foreign company (CFC) and foreign investment fund (FIF) regimes.

Industry Experience

Andrew’s experience includes advising:
• the Commonwealth in relation to the ‘T3’ sale of Telstra, including an application for a class ruling for the benefit of investors;
• Coles Group in relation to its ‘ownership review’ and eventual takeover by Wesfarmers;
• Centro Properties Group in relation to its 2007 Pro-rata Entitlement Offer including the tax consequences for investors;
• Centro Properties Group in relation to the establishment of Centro Australia Wholesale Fund (CAWF) and Centro Syndicate Investment Fund (CSIF);
• Centro Properties Group in relation to the merger of the Centro Retail Trust and the Centro America Shopping Fund;
• Airline Partners Australia in relation to the proposed acquisition of Qantas;
• the consortium led by Macquarie in relation to the acquisition of the Hobart Airport; and
• Pengana Capital in relation to the establishment of the Pengana Credo European Property Trust.

Professional Background

Andrew is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne. He is also a fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia.
